Klarbon has not found an official source for a general federal e-invoicing obligation for businesses in the United States. Federal agencies use the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP), run by the Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service, to receive and manage invoices from their vendors.
This page summarises the Bureau of the Fiscal Service's IPP page, checked on 5 November 2026. It is not tax advice; your CPA can tell you how the rules apply to you.
