North Macedonia is preparing e-invoicing through the Public Revenue Office's (UJP) e-Faktura system. The UJP has been testing it with companies since April 2026, first through API integration and since June 2026 also through a web application, ahead of mandatory implementation; it has given no date for when e-invoicing becomes mandatory.
This page summarises the UJP's notices of 4 April, 8 May and 4 June 2026, checked on 5 November 2026. It is not tax advice; your accountant can tell you how the rules apply to you.

What can Klarbon do with Macedonian invoices?
Klarbon does not read e-Faktura documents and does not connect to the UJP. If you also trade with Europe, you can open an e-invoice from a European customer or supplier for free.

Frequently asked questions
Is e-invoicing mandatory in North Macedonia?
Not yet, as far as Klarbon has found. The Public Revenue Office (UJP) is building the e-Faktura system and has been testing it with companies since April 2026, ahead of mandatory implementation. Its notices do not give a date.
What is e-Faktura?
The UJP's electronic invoicing system. Invoicing software connects to it through an API, and since June 2026 companies of any size can also test it through a web application.
Where can I find official information on e-Faktura?
Only from the UJP, which says that it alone gives official information and training on the project. It publishes it on ujp.gov.mk, on the project wiki at efakturawiki.ujp.gov.mk and on its social media pages.
