Greece requires structured e-invoices for public contracts and, since 2026, between businesses. According to the European Commission, the B2B obligation took effect on 2 March 2026 for entities with gross revenue over EUR 1 million and on 1 October 2026 for all others. Invoices are sent through accredited providers or a free AADE application, and their data reaches the myDATA platform.

This page summarises the European Commission's country sheet for Greece, checked on 5 November 2026. It is not tax advice; your logistis can tell you how the rules apply to you.

How does it work?

For B2B invoices, you send the e-invoice through an accredited e-invoicing service provider or through AADE's free web application, timologio. The structured data reaches myDATA, which checks it and assigns each document a unique registration number, the MARK. For public contracts, certified providers deliver invoices over Peppol to the GSIS infrastructure, which routes them through KE.D to the right public body (European Commission).
