Warning

CII-SR-415: Leave out TotalDepositFeeInformationAmount from the totals

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-415 means the invoice totals contain a TotalDepositFeeInformationAmount element, an information-only figure for deposit fees that EN 16931 does not use. It is a warning, so the file is still accepted; remove the element to clear it.

What it means

The block of invoice totals (SpecifiedTradeSettlementHeaderMonetarySummation) must not contain TotalDepositFeeInformationAmount, an information-only figure for the total of deposit fees, such as a bottle or crate deposit. EN 16931 has no field for it.

Why it matters

This rule is a warning, so the file is still accepted. The figure is outside the standard, so the recipient's software is not expected to read it. Because it is information only, it is not part of the amount due.

How to fix it

Remove the element by choosing the EN 16931 option in the e-invoice export settings of your invoicing software, or ask the supplier to stop writing it. If the buyer has to pay a deposit, check that it appears as a line or a charge, so it is part of the normal totals and the amount due. If you create the XML yourself, delete the element.
