What it means
The rule looks at the price block of each invoice line, where the unit price excluding VAT (BT-146) sits. If that block also holds a comparison reference price (TradeComparisonReferencePrice), a second price given only for comparison, the rule raises a warning.
Why it matters
This is a warning, so the invoice is not rejected. The recipient's software only has to read the fields the standard defines, so a comparison price is likely to be ignored or dropped, and the buyer cannot rely on seeing it. A stricter recipient may flag the file.
How to fix it
In your invoicing software, look for the e-invoice or XML export settings and turn off any option that sends list prices or reference prices on the lines. If the buyer should see a list price, EN 16931 offers the gross unit price (BT-148) with a price discount (BT-147) for exactly that. Otherwise keep only the unit price you actually charge.
