What it means

The name of the party the goods or services are delivered to (BT-70) may be at most 200 characters in the Romanian rule set for RO e-Factura (CIUS-RO). In the UBL file this is Name inside PartyName of the delivery party. Leading and trailing spaces are ignored and repeated spaces count once.

Why it matters

The delivery party name says who received the goods or services when that differs from the buyer. This is a fatal rule, so RO e-Factura rejects the invoice and you have to send a corrected file.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open the delivery details of the invoice or of the customer and check the name of the recipient. Keep only the company or person name and move delivery instructions or a contact person to a note or to the address fields. If the goods go to the buyer itself, you can leave the delivery party out.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Numele partii catre care se face livrarea (BT-70), este 200. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Deliver to party name (BT-70) is 200.

Business terms: BT-70
