BR-RO-L212: Item description on a line: 200 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L212 means the item description on an invoice line is longer than 200 characters. Fix it by shortening the description on that line to 200 characters or fewer.

On this page

What it means

On each line (BG-25), the description of the item (Item description, BT-154) may be at most 200 characters long. The test runs for every invoice line and every credit note line, so one long description is enough to fail the file.

Why it matters

CIUS-RO limits the item description to 200 characters, and the rule is fatal. RO e-Factura rejects the file, and one oversized description on a single line is enough to cause it.

How to fix it

Open the line named in the error and shorten the item description. Keep what the buyer needs to recognise the item, such as the product name and the key detail, and move the rest to the line note (up to 300 characters) or to an attachment. If the text comes from your product list, shorten it there too so it does not come back on the next invoice.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Descrierea articolului (BT-154) este 200. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Item description (BT-154) is 200.
