BR-RO-L211: Attachment file name: 200 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L211 means the file name of an attached document is longer than 200 characters. Fix it by renaming the file to a shorter name and attaching it again.

On this page

What it means

The file name of a document attached to the invoice or credit note (Attached document filename, BT-125-2) may be at most 200 characters long, extension included.

Why it matters

CIUS-RO limits the attachment file name to 200 characters and the rule is fatal. RO e-Factura rejects the whole file, even when the attached document itself is fine.

How to fix it

Rename the document to something shorter, for example the invoice number and a few words, and attach it again. Most invoicing software takes the name from the file you choose, so renaming the file before you attach it is normally enough. Check that the name is not a pasted description or a long path.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Numele fisierului documentului atasat (BT-125-2), este 200. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Attached document Filename (BT-125-2) is 200.

Business terms: BT-125
