BR-RO-L1002: Seller address line 2 must be 100 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1002 means the second address line of the seller (BT-36) is longer than 100 characters, which Romania's e-invoice rules do not allow. Fix it by shortening that line to 100 characters or fewer and moving anything extra to the first or third address line.

What it means

The second address line of the seller (BT-36) must not be longer than 100 characters. Before counting, the check trims spaces at both ends and reduces any run of spaces or line breaks to one space. In UBL the field is the AdditionalStreetName element in the seller's postal address.

Why it matters

This is a Romanian rule for RO e-Factura and it is fatal. The check fails and the file is rejected, so the invoice is not accepted until you correct it and send it again.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open your own company details and look at the second address line. Keep only what the address needs, such as the building, floor or unit, and cut notes or repeated text. If the address really is that long, split it between the first and third address lines, then create the e-invoice again.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Adresa Vanzatorului - Linia 2 (BT-36) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Seller address line 2 (BT-36) is 100.

Business terms: BT-36
