In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

What it means

The third address line of the seller (BT-162) must not be longer than 100 characters. Spaces count, but extra spaces at the start or end and repeated spaces are ignored. In UBL it is the Line element inside the address line group of the seller's postal address.

Why it matters

Romania's rules for RO e-Factura set this limit and treat a breach as fatal. The file is rejected and the invoice is not accepted until the line is shortened and the e-invoice is sent again.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open your own company details and find the third address line, which may be labelled 'address 3' or 'additional address'. Shorten it to 100 characters or fewer, or clear it if you do not need it. Check that a whole long address was not pasted into this one field.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Adresa Vanzatorului - Linia 3 (BT-162) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Seller address line 3 (BT-162) is 100.

Business terms: BT-162
