BR-RO-L1008: Buyer address line 3 must be 100 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1008 means the third address line of the buyer (BT-163) is longer than 100 characters. Fix it by shortening that line to 100 characters or fewer, or by leaving it empty if the address fits in the first two lines.

What it means

The third address line of the buyer (BT-163) must not be longer than 100 characters. Spaces count, but extra spaces at the start or end and repeated spaces are ignored. In UBL it is the Line element inside the address line group of the buyer's postal address.

Why it matters

This is a Romanian rule for RO e-Factura and it is fatal. The file is rejected and the invoice is not accepted until the line is shortened and the e-invoice is sent again.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open the customer's record (the buyer) and find the third address line, which may be labelled 'address 3' or 'additional address'. Shorten it to 100 characters or fewer, or clear it if it is not needed. Check that a whole long address was not pasted into this one field.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Adresa Cumparatorului - Linia 3 (BT-163) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Buyer address line 3 (BT-163) is 100.

Business terms: BT-163
