BR-RO-L1004: Seller contact point must be 100 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1004 means the contact point of the seller (BT-41), the person or department to contact, is longer than 100 characters. Fix it by shortening it to a name or department of 100 characters or fewer.

What it means

The contact point of the seller (BT-41), normally the name of a person or a department, must not be longer than 100 characters. Extra spaces at either end and repeated spaces are ignored before counting. In UBL it is the Name element in the seller's contact details.

Why it matters

This is a Romanian rule for RO e-Factura and it is fatal. A contact point over the limit makes the check fail, so the file is rejected until you correct it.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open your own company details or the contact set for the sender of the invoice. Use a short name or department, such as 'Accounts', and leave out phone numbers, email addresses and notes, which have their own fields (BT-42 and BT-43). Then create the e-invoice again.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Punctul de contact al Vanzatorului (BT-41) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Seller contact point (BT-41) is 100.

Business terms: BT-41
