Warning

UBL-CR-282: The payee's share capital amount should be left out

In short

Warning: worth checking.

UBL-CR-282 means the file includes a share capital amount for the payee (CorporateStockAmount), which EN 16931 has no field for. It is only a warning, so the file is still accepted, but you should remove the element and export again to get a clean result.

What it means

The payee (BG-10) is the party that receives the payment when that is not the seller. This rule checks that the payee has no share capital amount in its legal entity block, that is no cbc:CorporateStockAmount inside cac:PayeeParty/cac:PartyLegalEntity. EN 16931 only has the payee's name (BT-59), identifier (BT-60) and legal registration identifier (BT-61).

Why it matters

The standard has no place for the payee's share capital, so the recipient's software has nowhere to read it and ignores it. Because this is a warning, the invoice or credit note is not rejected. It is worth fixing so the file stays within the standard and nobody relies on a figure the recipient never sees.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, look at the settings for the payee (the party that is paid when it is not you) and clear the share capital field, or switch off the option that adds it. If the share capital has to appear on the invoice, put it in the seller's additional legal information (BT-33), which the standard does allow. If you build the XML yourself, delete cbc:CorporateStockAmount from cac:PayeeParty/cac:PartyLegalEntity.

The rule as published

A UBL invoice should not include the PayeeParty PartyLegalEntity CorporateStockAmount
