What it means
When the seller and the buyer are both in Germany, the invoice must contain the seller contact group (BG-6). This rule only checks that the group exists. The three fields inside it, the contact point (BT-41), the telephone number (BT-42) and the email address (BT-43), are checked by DE-R-005, DE-R-006 and DE-R-007.
Why it matters
The buyer needs someone to contact about the invoice, for example to query an amount or ask about a delivery. Without the contact group the invoice is rejected.
How to fix it
In your invoicing software, open your company or sender details and fill in a contact person or department, a phone number and an email address. Many programs keep these apart from the company address, so a complete address is not enough. Fill in all three together, otherwise the rules for the individual fields fail next.
