What it means
The invoice may carry the details of one payment card (BG-18), the card used for payment. The rule counts the card elements (ApplicableTradeSettlementFinancialCard) across all the payment means in the whole file and finds more than one. Splitting the cards over separate payment means entries does not get around it, because the count covers the whole invoice.
Why it matters
EN 16931 allows at most one payment card account per invoice. With two or more, the buyer cannot tell which card the payment relates to, and the invoice is rejected.
How to fix it
Open the payment section of the invoice in your invoicing software and look for card details. Keep one card and remove the rest. If you edit the XML, the whole file needs exactly one ApplicableTradeSettlementFinancialCard, or none if no card is involved.
The rule as published
