Warning

CII-SR-281: Do not name the seller's accountant in the invoice header

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-281 means the invoice names an accountant assigned by the seller, and the invoice standard has no place for that party. Remove it; the seller is still identified in the normal seller details.

On this page

What it means

The invoice header contains a SellerAssignedAccountantTradeParty element, which names the accountant the seller has assigned. EN 16931 has no accountant party. The seller is described in the seller details (BG-4).

Why it matters

This is only a warning, so the file is still accepted. The accountant's details have no field in the EN 16931 data model, so the buyer's software will not read them and they will probably be lost.

How to fix it

Check your invoicing software for an accountant or bookkeeper field in the company settings or on the invoice, and stop it being exported in the e-invoice. If you build the XML yourself, delete the SellerAssignedAccountantTradeParty element. It is worth fixing when your buyer or their platform checks files strictly.
