Warning

CII-SR-120: Do not give an identifier to a price discount

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-120 means the discount on the price of an invoice line has an identifier, which EN 16931 does not use. Remove the identifier and keep the discount amount; the file is still accepted.

What it means

The gross price block of an invoice line (GrossPriceProductTradePrice, inside SpecifiedLineTradeAgreement) contains a discount (AppliedTradeAllowanceCharge) that has an ID element. The price discount (BT-147) needs only its amount.

Why it matters

Recipients ignore the identifier, and the discount amount itself is not affected. This is a warning and the invoice is still accepted. Fixing it mainly gives you a clean check result.

How to fix it

Remove the ID from the price discount of every line and keep the discount amount. If the buyer needs a discount code or name, put it in the line note or the item description. In invoicing software this is often a promotion or discount code field, so clear it or turn off its export.
