Warning

CII-SR-125: Remove the prepaid flag from the unit price discount

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-125 means the discount on a line's unit price has a prepaid flag (PrepaidIndicator), which an EN 16931 invoice should not contain. Delete the flag from the discount; it is only a warning, so the file is still accepted.

On this page

What it means

On each line, the unit price before discount (BT-148) can carry one discount (BT-147). This rule checks that the discount holds no PrepaidIndicator, a true or false flag that marks the amount as prepaid. The discount amount itself is allowed.

Why it matters

EN 16931 treats a discount on a unit price as an amount with no prepaid marking, so receiving software has nowhere to put the flag and may skip it. The file is still accepted, because this is a warning. Fix it if you want a clean file or the recipient asks for one.

How to fix it

Open the XML of the line and find GrossPriceProductTradePrice, then its AppliedTradeAllowanceCharge. Remove the PrepaidIndicator element there and leave the discount amount (ActualAmount) and the ChargeIndicator in place. If your invoicing software writes the flag itself, check its export settings for an EN 16931, XRechnung or Peppol BIS format, or ask the supplier to drop it.
