Warning

CII-SR-121: Do not number the discount on an item price

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-121 means the discount on the price of an invoice line has a sequence number, which EN 16931 does not use. Remove the sequence number and keep the discount amount; the file is still accepted.

On this page

What it means

The gross price block of an invoice line (GrossPriceProductTradePrice, inside SpecifiedLineTradeAgreement) contains a discount (AppliedTradeAllowanceCharge) with a SequenceNumeric. The price discount (BT-147) is a single amount, so there is nothing to put in order.

Why it matters

Recipients ignore the number, and the discount amount itself is not affected. This is a warning and the invoice is still accepted. Fixing it mainly gives you a clean check result.

How to fix it

Remove the sequence number from the price discount of every line. Keep the discount marker and the amount. This number is usually added by the software that wrote the file, so look for an export profile that follows EN 16931 or XRechnung.
