Warning

CII-SR-122: Do not give a percentage on an item price discount

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-122 means the discount on the price of an invoice line states the percentage it was calculated with, which EN 16931 does not use. Remove the percentage and keep the discount amount; the file is still accepted.

On this page

What it means

The gross price block of an invoice line (GrossPriceProductTradePrice, inside SpecifiedLineTradeAgreement) contains a discount (AppliedTradeAllowanceCharge) with a CalculationPercent. The price discount (BT-147) is given as an amount only.

Why it matters

Recipients ignore the percentage and use the amount. This is a warning and the invoice is still accepted. It is worth fixing if the buyer expects to see the percentage, because it will not reach them as structured data.

How to fix it

Remove the percentage and keep the discount amount (ActualAmount), checking that it is the amount taken off the price. If the buyer needs the percentage, mention it in the line note or the item description.
