BR-RO-L302: Invoice note: 300 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L302 means a note in the invoice is longer than 300 characters. Fix it by shortening that note to 300 characters or fewer.

What it means

The free-text comment on the invoice (Invoice note, BT-22) may be at most 300 characters long. The test is applied to every note element in the file, so a long note elsewhere, such as on a line, trips it too. Spaces at the start and end are ignored.

Why it matters

CIUS-RO limits notes to 300 characters and the rule is fatal. RO e-Factura rejects the file, and the buyer does not receive it as a valid e-invoice until you send a corrected one.

How to fix it

Find the notes, remarks or comments field in your invoicing software and cut the text to 300 characters or fewer. If you need more room, keep the key sentence in the note and attach the rest as a document. Check line notes and payment terms as well, since this rule looks at them too.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Comentariu în factura (BT-22) este 300. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Invoice note (BT-22) is 300.

Business terms: BT-22
