BR-RO-L1012: Tax representative address line 2 must be 100 characters or fewer

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1012 means the second address line of the seller's tax representative (BT-65) is longer than 100 characters. Fix it by shortening that line to 100 characters or fewer and moving anything extra to the first or third address line.

What it means

The second address line of the seller's tax representative (BT-65), the party appointed to deal with VAT for the seller, must not be longer than 100 characters. Extra spaces at either end and repeated spaces are ignored before counting. In UBL it is the AdditionalStreetName element in the tax representative's postal address.

Why it matters

This is a Romanian rule for RO e-Factura and it is fatal. The check fails and the file is rejected, so the invoice is not accepted until you correct it and send it again.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open the tax representative details for the seller and look at the second address line. Cut notes or repeated text down to what is needed, or split the address between the first and third lines. If you have no tax representative, that block should not be in the invoice at all, so check why it was added.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Adresa reprezentantului fiscal - Linia 2 (BT-65) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Tax representative address line 2 (BT-65) is 100.

Business terms: BT-65
