BR-RO-L1001: Buyer accounting reference: 100 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1001 means the buyer accounting reference is longer than 100 characters. Fix it by entering only the code the buyer asked for, 100 characters or fewer.

On this page

What it means

The reference the buyer wants quoted so they can book the invoice in their own accounts (Buyer accounting reference, BT-19), such as a cost centre or ledger code, may be at most 100 characters long. The test counts the characters of the text, ignoring spaces at the start and end.

Why it matters

The buyer's accounting team uses this code to book the cost. CIUS-RO limits it to 100 characters and the rule is fatal, so RO e-Factura rejects the file until you send a corrected one.

How to fix it

Find the field called accounting reference, cost centre or buyer reference code in your invoicing software, often set on the customer record. Enter only the code the buyer gave you, not a description. If a longer text was pasted in, replace it with the code and move the text to the invoice note.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Referinta contabila a Cumparatorului (BT-19) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Buyer accounting reference (BT-19) is 100.

Business terms: BT-19
