BR-RO-101: Buyer in Bucharest must use a sector code as the city

In short

BR-RO-101 means the buyer is in Romania with county RO-B (Bucharest), but the city is not one of the six sector codes. Fix it by entering the city as SECTOR1, SECTOR2, SECTOR3, SECTOR4, SECTOR5 or SECTOR6.

What it means

When the buyer's country code (BT-55) is RO and the buyer's county (country subdivision, BT-54) is RO-B, the buyer's city (BT-52) must be exactly one of SECTOR1, SECTOR2, SECTOR3, SECTOR4, SECTOR5 or SECTOR6. The rule does not apply to any other county.

Why it matters

Bucharest is divided into six sectors, and the Romanian rules want the sector as the city so that addresses in Bucharest are written in one fixed form. Any other value, such as the word Bucharest, makes the file fail the check and it is rejected.

How to fix it

In the customer's record, set the city to the sector code that matches the address, for example SECTOR3, in capitals and with no space. Bucharest, Bucuresti and Sector 3 all fail. Keep the county as RO-B. If the address is not in Bucharest, the county is the wrong one, so change it to the correct county code instead.

The rule as published

Daca Codul tarii Cumparatorului (BT-55) este RO si Subdiviziunea tarii Cumparatorului (BT-54) este RO-B (corespunzator Municipiului Bucuresti), atunci Localitatea Cumparatorului (BT-52) trebuie sa fie codificata folosind lista de coduri SECTOR-RO. #If the Buyer's country Code (BT-55) is RO and the Buyer's country subdivision (BT-54) is RO-B (corresponding to Bucharest Municipality), then the Buyer city (BT-52) must be coded using the code list SECTOR-RO(SECTOR1, SECTOR2, SECTOR3, SECTOR4, SECTOR5, SECTOR6).

Business terms: BT-52, BT-54, BT-55
