BR-DEC-RO-10: Total of invoice-level discounts: two decimals at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-DEC-RO-10 means the total of the discounts on the whole invoice (BT-107) has more than two decimals. Fix it by adding up the invoice-level discounts, each rounded to two decimals, and using that sum.

On this page

What it means

The invoice states the sum of all discounts given on the whole invoice (BT-107), and it has more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 30.000 fails even though it equals 30. Discounts on single lines are not part of this total.

Why it matters

The total of discounts is taken off when the total without VAT is worked out, so the Romanian CIUS-RO rules want a clean two-decimal figure. A longer one is a fatal error and the file is rejected.

How to fix it

Round each discount on the whole invoice (BT-92) to two decimals, add them up and use that sum as the total of discounts. If your software lets you set the number of decimals for totals, set it to two. In the XML it is the AllowanceTotalAmount inside LegalMonetaryTotal.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Suma deducerilor la nivelul documentului (BT-107) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Sum of allowances on document level(BT-107) is 2.

Business terms: BT-107
