BR-DEC-RO-11: Total of invoice-level charges: two decimals at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-DEC-RO-11 means the total of the charges on the whole invoice (BT-108) has more than two decimals. Fix it by adding up the invoice-level charges, each rounded to two decimals, and using that sum.

On this page

What it means

The invoice states the sum of all charges added to the whole invoice, such as delivery or packaging fees (BT-108), and it has more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 12.500 fails even though it equals 12.5. Charges on single lines are not part of this total.

Why it matters

The total of charges is added in when the total without VAT is worked out. The Romanian CIUS-RO rules treat more than two decimals as a fatal error, so the file is rejected.

How to fix it

Round each charge on the whole invoice (BT-99) to two decimals, add them up and use that sum as the total of charges. If your software lets you set the number of decimals for totals, set it to two. In the XML it is the ChargeTotalAmount inside LegalMonetaryTotal.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Suma taxelor suplimentare la nivelul documentului (BT-108) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Sum of charges on document level(BT-108) is 2.

Business terms: BT-108
