What it means
The total of all the line amounts on the invoice (BT-106), before VAT and before any discount or charge on the whole invoice, is written with more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 1250.000 fails even though it equals 1250. It applies to invoices and credit notes in the Romanian CIUS-RO format.
Why it matters
The other invoice totals are built on this sum. With more than two decimals the Romanian CIUS-RO rules report a fatal error and the file is rejected.
How to fix it
Round each line amount (BT-131) to two decimals, add them up and enter that sum as the total of the lines. If the total has too many decimals, look at the line amounts first (BR-DEC-RO-23). In the XML it is the LineExtensionAmount inside LegalMonetaryTotal.
The rule as published
Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Suma valorilor nete ale liniilor facturii (BT-106) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Sum of Invoice line net amount (BT-106) is 2. Business terms: BT-106
