BR-DE-CVD-05: The cva value must be clean, zero-emission or other

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-DE-CVD-05 means an item attribute named cva has a value that is not allowed. Fix it by setting the value to exactly clean, zero-emission or other.

On this page

What it means

When an invoice line has an item attribute named cva (BT-160), its value (BT-161) must be one of clean, zero-emission or other. Other attributes are not checked, and the rule applies only to CVD invoices.

Why it matters

German public buyers read the cva value as the emission level of the vehicle for their Clean Vehicles Directive reporting. Any other word cannot be reported, so the invoice is rejected.

How to fix it

Open the item attributes of the line, find the one named cva and replace its value with clean, zero-emission or other, in lower case and written exactly like that. Pick the one that matches the vehicle's emission class.

The rule as published

Wenn innerhalb von ITEM ATTRIBUTES (BG-32) der "Item attribute name" (BT-160) den Wert 'cva' hat, muss der "Item attribute value" (BT-161) einen der zulässigen Werte enthalten.

Business terms: BG-32, BT-160, BT-161
