BR-DE-CVD-03: CVD invoices need a line with vehicle category and cva

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-DE-CVD-03 means this clean vehicle (CVD) invoice has no line that carries both a vehicle category code and a cva attribute. Fix it by adding both to at least one line for a vehicle or vehicle service.

On this page

What it means

On an XRechnung CVD invoice, at least one invoice line (BG-25) must have an item classification identifier (BT-158) with the scheme CVD and, on the same line, an item attribute named cva (BT-160). The rule applies only to invoices that declare the CVD profile.

Why it matters

German public buyers use CVD invoices to report the vehicle classes and emission levels they bought under the Clean Vehicles Directive. An invoice with no such line gives them nothing to report, so it is rejected.

How to fix it

On the vehicle line, add a classification code with the scheme CVD and the vehicle category (M1, M2, M3, N1, N2 or N3). On the same line, add an item attribute named cva with the value clean, zero-emission or other. If the invoice is not meant for CVD reporting, export it with the standard XRechnung profile instead.

The rule as published

Business terms: BG-25, BT-158, BT-160
