What it means
Every item classification identifier (BT-158) whose scheme identifier is CVD must be one of the EU vehicle categories M1, M2, M3, N1, N2 or N3. Classification codes with any other scheme are not checked by this rule, and it applies only to CVD invoices.
Why it matters
The Clean Vehicles Directive reporting groups vehicles by these categories. A code that is not on the list cannot be counted, so the invoice is rejected.
How to fix it
On the line, replace the code with the vehicle's category: M1 to M3 for vehicles that carry passengers, N1 to N3 for vehicles that carry goods. Write it in capital letters, exactly as shown. The category is on the vehicle's papers and in the order or contract.
The rule as published
Ein "Item classification identifier" (BT-158) mit dem Scheme identifier 'CVD' muss einen Wert aus der Liste der zulässigen Fahrzeugkategorien enthalten. Business terms: BT-158
