What it means
When an XRechnung 3.0 file is treated as a Clean Vehicles Directive (CVD) invoice, the item classification identifier (BT-158) on each line carries a scheme identifier, the listID attribute, which says which classification list the code comes from. That scheme must be exactly one of the UNTDID 7143 codes allowed for CVD invoices. An unknown code, or several codes separated by spaces, fails. The rule applies to UBL and CII files, and to credit notes as well as invoices.
Why it matters
The scheme tells the recipient's software which classification list the code comes from. With a scheme it does not recognise, it cannot read the classification used for CVD reporting, so the file is rejected.
How to fix it
Find the classification or commodity code settings of the lines in your invoicing software, where the code and the name of its list are stored. If the software lets you type the scheme, enter one code only, with no spaces or extra text. If it offers a list, pick the matching entry, and if no CVD code is offered, ask your software vendor.
