DE-R-011: A delivery address needs a post code between German parties

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

DE-R-011 means the delivery address on the invoice has no post code, which is required when the seller and the buyer are both in Germany. Fix it by adding the post code, or by removing the delivery address if it is the same as the buyer's address.

What it means

When the seller and the buyer are both in Germany and the invoice has a delivery address (BG-15), that address must include a post code (BT-78). The rule only applies if a delivery address is present. It does not make you give one.

Why it matters

A delivery address without a post code is incomplete, so the recipient cannot tell exactly where the goods or services went. The invoice is rejected.

How to fix it

In your invoicing software, open the delivery address on the invoice or on the customer's record and fill in the post code. Software often adds a delivery address automatically from one saved on the customer, so check there if you did not enter one yourself. If everything went to the buyer's usual address, you can clear the delivery address instead.
