What it means
Every invoice must contain the city of the delivery address (BT-77) when it gives a delivery address (BG-15). A delivery address in an XRechnung must give the town or city.
Why it matters
XRechnung, the German standard for e-invoices, requires this on top of EN 16931. Public bodies in Germany and their invoice portals (ZRE, OZG-RE and the state portals) reject an XRechnung that fails this rule, and many German businesses check incoming invoices the same way.
How to fix it
Complete the delivery address with the town or city, or remove the delivery address if the goods went to the buyer's own address.
The rule as published
Das Element "Deliver to city" (BT-77) muss übermittelt werden, wenn die Gruppe "DELIVER TO ADDRESS" (BG-15) übermittelt wird. Business terms: BG-15, BT-77
