BR-RO-L0306: Despatch advice reference: 200 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L0306 means the despatch advice reference is longer than 200 characters. Fix it by entering only the reference number of that document, 200 characters or fewer.

What it means

The reference of the despatch advice (Despatch advice reference, BT-16), the notice that goods have been sent, may be at most 200 characters long. The test counts the characters of the identifier, ignoring spaces at the start and end.

Why it matters

CIUS-RO limits this reference to 200 characters and the rule is fatal. RO e-Factura rejects the file, so it is not accepted as an e-invoice until you send a corrected one.

How to fix it

Find the despatch, delivery note or shipping reference in your invoicing software and keep only the document number. If several shipments are covered, put the first or main number there and list the rest in an attachment. A long text pasted into this field is the usual cause.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Referinta avizului de expeditie (BT-16) este 200. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Despatch advice reference (BT-16) is 200.

Business terms: BT-16
