What it means
Each normal invoice line (BG-25) must state its line net amount (BT-131), the amount excluding VAT for that line. The check looks for the line total in the monetary summary of the line. A line is normal when its subtype (BT-X-8) is DETAIL or not given.
Why it matters
The line amounts add up to the invoice total without VAT, which the VAT is based on. A line without an amount breaks that total, and the invoice is rejected.
How to fix it
Open the line and check that its amount excluding VAT is filled in. In most software it is calculated from the quantity and the unit price, so an empty amount usually means one of those is missing or the line was imported without a total. Add the missing figure and recalculate the invoice totals.
The rule as published
