What it means
The amount due for payment (BT-115), the amount the buyer still has to pay, is written with more than two digits after the decimal point. Digits are counted as written in the file, so 595.760 fails even though it equals 595.76. It applies to invoices and credit notes in the Romanian CIUS-RO format.
Why it matters
This is the figure the buyer pays and the seller books as outstanding. The Romanian CIUS-RO rules treat more than two decimals as a fatal error, so the file is rejected.
How to fix it
Recalculate it as the total with VAT (BT-112) minus the paid amount (BT-113) plus the rounding amount (BT-114). If one of those parts has more than two decimals, fix it first (BR-DEC-RO-14, BR-DEC-RO-16 or BR-DEC-RO-17). In the XML it is the PayableAmount inside LegalMonetaryTotal.
The rule as published
Numarul maxim permis de zecimale pentru Suma de plata (BT-115) este 2. #The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Amount due for payment (BT-115) is 2. Business terms: BT-115
