BR-25: Item name is required

In short

BR-25 means the item name (BT-153) is missing. Give every line a short description of the product or service, such as "Consulting, March 2026" or the article name.

On this page

What it means

Every invoice line (BG-25) must contain the item name (BT-153). It is the name of the product or service the line is for.

Why it matters

The buyer's software books and checks every line on its own, often against the purchase order. A line without this detail cannot be matched or posted, so the whole invoice is rejected.

How to fix it

Give every line a short description of the product or service, such as "Consulting, March 2026" or the article name. A line with only an article number or an empty description triggers this rule.

The rule as published

Each Invoice line (BG-25) shall contain the Item name (BT-153).
