BR-10: Buyer postal address is required

In short

BR-10 means the buyer's postal address (BG-8) is missing. Complete the customer's address (street, postcode, town and country) on the customer record in your invoicing software and export again.

On this page

What it means

Every invoice must contain the buyer's postal address (BG-8). It is the customer's address, with at least the country.

Why it matters

VAT law requires an invoice to identify both parties, and the recipient's software uses these details to match the invoice to a supplier or customer. An invoice that fails this rule is rejected as incomplete.

How to fix it

Complete the customer's address (street, postcode, town and country) on the customer record in your invoicing software and export again.

The rule as published

An Invoice shall contain the Buyer postal address (BG-8).

Business terms: BG-8
