What it means
Every invoice must contain the country code in the seller's address (BT-40). It is the two-letter ISO 3166 code of your country, such as DE, FR or NL.
Why it matters
VAT law requires an invoice to identify both parties, and the recipient's software uses these details to match the invoice to a supplier or customer. An invoice that fails this rule is rejected as incomplete.
How to fix it
Select your country in the company address settings of your invoicing software and export again. In the XML it is the two-letter code in cac:Country/cbc:IdentificationCode (UBL) or ram:CountryID (CII).
The rule as published
The Seller postal address (BG-5) shall contain a Seller country code (BT-40). Business terms: BG-5, BT-40
