BR-08: Seller postal address is required

In short

BR-08 means the seller's postal address (BG-5) is missing. Complete your business address (street, postcode, town and country) in the company settings of your invoicing software and export again.

On this page

What it means

Every invoice must contain the seller's postal address (BG-5). It is your business address as the seller, with at least the country.

Why it matters

VAT law requires an invoice to identify both parties, and the recipient's software uses these details to match the invoice to a supplier or customer. An invoice that fails this rule is rejected as incomplete.

How to fix it

Complete your business address (street, postcode, town and country) in the company settings of your invoicing software and export again.

The rule as published

An Invoice shall contain the Seller postal address.
