SIE, Standard Import och Export, is the Swedish standard for moving accounting data between programs, maintained by SIE-Gruppen since 1992. SIE 4 is a text file of tagged lines, such as #KONTO for accounts and #VER for vouchers, in code page 437, with five types from year balances to every transaction. SIE 5, from 2018, is XML with English names and signature support. Klarbon support is planned, not available yet.

Dates are written as YYYYMMDD and amounts with a full stop and at most two decimals. The specification is SIE file format version 4C (SIE 4C, SIE-Gruppen).

SIE moves bookkeeping between programs; it does not carry invoices. The older Swedish e-invoice format is covered under Svefaktura.
What does Klarbon do with SIE files?
Klarbon does not support SIE today; opening SIE 4 and SIE 5 files is planned, not available yet. Klarbon does not import data into or export it from accounting programs.
