PEPPOL-EN16931-R111: A line period must end within the invoicing period

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

PEPPOL-EN16931-R111 means an invoice line period ends after the invoicing period (BT-135 against BT-74). Widen the invoicing period so it covers every line, or correct the line's dates.

On this page

What it means

When both the invoice and a line give a period, the line's end date (BT-135) must fall within the invoicing period (on or before BT-74). A line cannot cover days outside the period the whole invoice covers.

Why it matters

Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 adds this rule to EN 16931 so that every access point and receiver can process the invoice the same way. The sending or receiving access point rejects an invoice that fails it, so it never reaches the buyer.

How to fix it

Widen the invoicing period so it covers every line, or correct the line's dates. If the lines cover different periods, you can leave the invoicing period out and give periods on the lines only.

The rule as published

End date of line period MUST be within invoice period.
