What it means
The settlement section (ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement) should not contain a CreditorReferenceTypeCode, a code that says what kind of creditor reference is given. The bank assigned creditor identifier (BT-90) used for direct debit is a separate element and is allowed.
Why it matters
This is a warning, so the file is still accepted. EN 16931 has no field for the type of a creditor reference, so receiving software normally ignores it. Nothing the buyer pays or books depends on it.
How to fix it
Remove the type code from the settlement section. If you collect payment by direct debit, check that the creditor identifier is still filled in under the payment details in your invoicing software. If you can choose a profile when you export, pick EN 16931 rather than Extended. Fixing it is optional and mainly keeps the check clean.
