Warning

CII-SR-347: Leave out the next invoice date and time

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-347 means the settlement section of the e-invoice contains the date of the next invoice (NextInvoiceDateTime), which EN 16931 does not use. It is only a warning: remove it and mention the date in a note if the buyer needs it.

On this page

What it means

The settlement section (ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement) should not contain a NextInvoiceDateTime, the date and time when the next invoice in a series is due to be issued.

Why it matters

This is a warning, so the file is still accepted. EN 16931 has no field for the date of a following invoice, so receiving software normally ignores it. A buyer who expects it will not see it.

How to fix it

Remove the next invoice date from the file. If you want the buyer to know when the next invoice in a recurring series will follow, mention it in an invoice note (BT-22). Check the recurring invoice settings in your invoicing software, since that is where this date usually comes from. Fixing it is optional and mainly keeps the check clean.
