What it means
The check looks in the agreement part of the invoice header for a reference to a promotional deal (ram:PromotionalDealReferencedDocument), a sales promotion or special offer that applies to the invoice. EN 16931 has no field for it.
Why it matters
This is a warning, so the invoice is still accepted. A recipient that follows the standard does not read the promotion reference. The price reduction itself is read from the amounts on the invoice, not from this reference. It is worth fixing if you want a file with no warnings.
How to fix it
Remove the promotion reference from the invoice in your invoicing software, or from the export settings that send it. In the XML, delete the ram:PromotionalDealReferencedDocument block. If the promotion lowers a price, show the reduction as a discount on the line or on the whole invoice and give the reason there.
