Warning

CII-SR-134: Remove the comparison price from the unit price before discount

In short

Warning: worth checking.

CII-SR-134 means the unit price before discount on a line has a comparison reference price (TradeComparisonReferencePrice), which an EN 16931 invoice should not contain. Delete that element; it is only a warning, so the file is still accepted.

On this page

What it means

On each line, the unit price before discount (BT-148) sits in the GrossPriceProductTradePrice block. This rule checks that the block holds no TradeComparisonReferencePrice, a second price given only for comparison, such as a list price.

Why it matters

EN 16931 expects one unit price before discount and one after. A third price for comparison is not part of the invoice data, so receiving software may ignore it. The file is still accepted, because this is a warning. It is worth fixing for a clean file, or when the buyer relies on the comparison and might not see it.

How to fix it

Remove the TradeComparisonReferencePrice element from GrossPriceProductTradePrice in each affected line. Keep the real unit price (ChargeAmount). If the comparison is useful to the buyer, put it in a note on the line (BT-127). If your software adds it on every export, ask the supplier about an EN 16931, XRechnung or Peppol BIS format.
