BR-RO-L1024: Item name on a line: 100 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1024 means the item name on an invoice line is longer than 100 characters, which the Romanian rules do not allow. Fix it by shortening the name to 100 characters or fewer.

What it means

The item name (BT-153) on an invoice line is longer than 100 characters. Spaces between words count, but spaces at the start or end are ignored and repeated spaces count as one. This is a rule of the Romanian CIUS-RO specification used for RO e-Factura, and it applies to both invoices and credit notes.

Why it matters

Romania checks every file against its national specification, and this limit is part of it. An item name that is too long makes the file fail, so it is rejected and the buyer does not receive it as a valid e-invoice.

How to fix it

Find the product or service name on the line in your invoicing software and cut it down to the essentials. A common cause is a full product description pasted into the name field. Put details such as size, colour or a long description in the item description (BT-154) instead.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Numele articolului (BT-153) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Item name (BT-153) is 100.

Business terms: BT-153
