BR-RO-L1025: Item attribute value on a line: 100 characters at most

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-RO-L1025 means the value of an item attribute on an invoice line is longer than 100 characters, which the Romanian rules do not allow. Fix it by shortening that value to 100 characters or fewer.

What it means

An item attribute is an extra property of a product, such as colour, size or material, given as a name (BT-160) and a value (BT-161). This rule finds a value that is longer than 100 characters. Spaces between words count, but spaces at the start or end are ignored and repeated spaces count as one. It is a rule of the Romanian CIUS-RO specification used for RO e-Factura, and it applies to both invoices and credit notes.

Why it matters

Romania checks every file against its national specification, and this limit is part of it. An attribute value that is too long makes the file fail, so it is rejected and the buyer does not receive it as a valid e-invoice.

How to fix it

Open the line in your invoicing software and look for the product properties, attributes or specifications. Shorten the value that is too long to 100 characters or fewer. If it holds a longer text, move that text to the item description (BT-154) or leave it out.

The rule as published

Numarul maxim permis de caractere pentru Valoarea atributului articolului (BT-161) este 100. #The allowed maximum number of characters for the Item attribute value (BT-161) is 100.

Business terms: BT-161
