What it means
A free-text note on the invoice has a subject code (BT-21), a short code that classifies the note. This rule exists only in the CII rule set, and it raises the warning whenever a subject code is used.
Why it matters
Nothing is rejected. The Dutch rule set says such a code should only be used if you have agreed it with the receiving party, because the recipient cannot be expected to act on it otherwise.
How to fix it
Remove the subject code from your invoice notes in the invoicing software or the export settings. The note text itself can stay. If your buyer asked you to use specific codes, keep them and ignore the warning.
The rule as published
The use of an invoice note subject code (/rsm:ExchangedDocument/ram:IncludedNote/ram:SubjectCode) is not recommended. If deemed necessary the code shall be agreed upon with the receiving party. Where this rule applies
