BR-FR-CO-04_BT-4: Corrective invoices need exactly one earlier invoice reference

In short

Fatal: fails the selected checks.

BR-FR-CO-04_BT-4 means a corrective invoice (type 384, 471, 472 or 473) in a CII file does not have exactly one reference to an earlier invoice with its date. Fix it so the invoice names one earlier invoice number (BT-25) and its date (BT-26), no more and no fewer.

On this page

What it means

The invoice type code (BT-3) is 384, 471, 472 or 473, the corrective invoice types. For these types the CII file must contain exactly one preceding invoice reference (BT-25) with its issue date (BT-26). The message tells you how many valid references were found. Zero fails, and two or more fail as well.

Why it matters

A corrective invoice corrects one earlier invoice. Without a reference, or with several, the recipient cannot tell which invoice is being corrected, so the invoice is rejected.

How to fix it

In the preceding invoice section (BG-3), enter the number and the issue date of the invoice you are correcting. In CII this is a ram:InvoiceReferencedDocument with the number in ram:IssuerAssignedID and the date next to it. If there are two or more references, delete all but the right one. If the correction covers several invoices, the rule allows only one reference, so issue a separate correction for each.

The rule as published

Si le type de facture (BT-3) est une facture rectificative (384, 471, 472, 473), alors **une et une seule** référence à une facture antérieure (BT-25) avec sa date (BT-26) doit être présente. Nombre de références valides trouvées : … .

Business terms: BT-3, BT-25, BT-26
